About Veterans Center

The Veterans Center is a nonprofit organization that been established since 2008 with the mission to assist veterans and their families with housing counseling, training and employment. We assist over 1500 veterans per quarter and estimated 6000 veterans including their families in a fiscal year.

Our Mission

We dedicated to reconstructing the lives of veterans their families and their communities through housing, community development, and job training and employment.

The Vets Christmas Celebration TOYS&HYPE is an annual Christmas event hosted to uplift rural communities, veterans, their families, children (infant to 17) and seniors who have been placed in foster care. We are serving 10 rural counties in Middle and South Georgia.

During the celebration we assist and serve over 5000 families with children with the following festivities: (1) Hot Meals (2) Children Selection Tables for Toys!!! (3) Local Community Vendors (4) Game Trucks and Bouncy Houses (5) Community Resources (6) Classes (7) Clothing and Shoes (8) parent and senior citizen resources.

Impact

Vets Christmas Celebration impacts the lives of over 6000 participants though not only guarantee an event to remember with toys but through the offering of supportive services during and after the event. Here’s a breakdown of the impact:

  • 500 Veterans Families Receive Housing Counseling
  • 1000 Families Medical Assistance
  • 2400 youth receive educational support
  • 2100 Children receive education and STEM services (Drone and Mobile Application Development
